It seems Bieber fever has swept through Canada.
The 15-year-old sensation's debut effort rocketed to the top of the Canadian album charts, selling 26,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.
The seven-song EP from the Stratford, Ontario native Justin Bieber also fared well in the U.S., coming in at No. 6 with 137,000 copies sold, Billboard.com reported.
Back here, Andrea Bocelli's holiday disc "My Christmas" (16,000) shot up six positions to No. 2, while Norah Jones's "Fall" (15,000) spent its first week at No. 3.
Three more debuts occupied the fourth to sixth spots: John Mayer's "Battle Studies" landed at No. 4, Them Crooked Vultures' self-titled effort at No. 5, and Hedley's "The Show Must Go On" at No. 6.
Rounding out the top 10 was "MuchDance 2010" at No. 7, Michael Buble's "Crazy Love" at No. 8, Michael Jackson's "Is This It" at No. 9, and Bon Jovi's "The Circle" at No. 10.
In the U.S., Mayer premiered in first, followed by Bocelli in second, Jones in third, Casting Crowns' "Until the Whole World Hears" in fourth, and 50 Cent's "Before I Destruct" in fifth.
