Country star Leann Rimes has revealed she deeply regrets the way she ended her marriage to dancer Dean Sheremet after embarking on a romance with actor Eddie Cibrian, her current fiance.
The Blue singer and Cibrian were both married when they met and fell in love on the set of a TV movie in 2009, and in a new Great American Country channel special, which will air on Sunday, Rimes admits she could have handled the split much better.
She says, “I know I didn’t do it the right way. I didn’t have the tools... It got really messy but I have learned a lot from that.
“I’m not glad it happened but I know why it did.”
