Shout it out for a nightcap Exit from chaos The long, long road north

By GRAEME MCRANOR, 24 HOURS

8:30 p.m. - The dust is starting to settle as the sun sets between the surrounding mountains. I've got to be honest, this is a seriously sweet spot to hold a festival.

New York's Interpol is rocking a Joy Division vibe on stage right now and earlier in the afternoon we were treated to a boisterous set - as usual - by Aussie band Wolfmother. Word from the Rolling Stone photog is that the band wouldn't do an interview. With Rolling Stone. Yeah.

Regardless, it's no surprise that we're several Mojitos (courtesy of Bacardi) into the evening and we also unfortunately slung back a rather flat pair of Heinekens, served in the classic keg-party plastic cup. Not recommended for beer lovers.

The party crowd is representing in force, but thankfully there are also families and just pure old fashioned music fans in the mix. Speaking of mix, the Mojito tent is calling. This is certainly thirsty work.

Nine Inch Nails to come on the mainstage in about an hour or so. And the Bacardi B-Live Tent is in full effect with Chromeo spinning the wheels of steel. Yeah, I said it. Wheels of Steel. Jealous?
