Sunday, 6:30 p.m. - Traffic continues to be the story up in Pemberton.
We hear members of N.E.R.D. got a police escort in order to make their own gig, which ended up starting about 40 minutes late. But hey, the crowd was kept entertained in the meantime by several ladies who played a neat little game called Take Your Top Off. I'm not sure who won, but in these situations its sportsmanship that counts. They were all winners in my book. And on my camera.
Jay-Z is still on the bill, we hear, which is good news.
While N.E.R.D. was rocking on the mainstage, I headed over to the Bacardi B-Live tent with the HD video camera to shoot DJ Dopey spinning with 16 members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Let's just say it was dope and the crowd ate it up, as did about a dozen frenetic media photographers and cameramen.
The mood of the masses is still jovial, albeit somewhat tempered by burnout coupled with the growing realization that the festival is quickly coming to a close.
Check in again in a few hours for closing festival thoughts.
