MONTREAL - During the first big night of the 17th Montreal Fashion Week, Montrealers got a special treat yesterday when famous designers like Andy The-Anh, MUSE by Christian Chenail and Dinh Ba Design put on a show. But it was Yves Jean Lacasse who stole the show with an impressive display to benefit the Kovalev Foundation.

Andy The-Anh opened the show at the city's largest fashion event by showcasing his innovative collection, followed by MUSE by Christian Chenail and Dinh Ba Design who took over with their own impressive collections.

Ten of France's up-and-coming designers also came by with the latest in edgy French fashions.

Yves Jean Lacasse closed out the first big night with his ENVER line, showing once again why he's one of the biggest local designers going. The fashion show, dedicated to children with cardiac illnesses and organized by the Kovalev Foundation, was even more impressive when Ottawa Senators player Alex Kovalev made an appearance.
