Carey Mulligan made her first red carpet appearance as a married woman on Monday night by stepping out for New York's annual Costume Institute Gala.
The An Education star donned a futuristic gold and silver Prada dress for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's glitzy event, known as the Met Ball, which took place just two weeks after she exchanged vows with folk rocker Marcus Mumford in Somerset, England.
Mulligan served as one of the co-chairs of the annual gala, along with Vogue editor Anna Wintour and designer Miuccia Prada.
She was joined on the red carpet by stars including Amy Adams, Rihanna, Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum, Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Beyonce showed off her post-pregnancy figure in a sheer Givenchy Haute Couture embroidered gown with a feathered train, while Sofia Vergara turned heads in a silver fishtail Marchesa dress.
Jessica Biel and her fiance Justin Timberlake also stepped out for the event, with the actress' engagement ring on full view for photographers. The stars are reported to be planning a summer wedding.
