While everyone loves the crackling warmth of a traditional, wood-burning fireplace, not everyone has the space, budget or traditionally inspired home that suits one.
Condo dwellers, for one, don't typically have brick chimneys sprouting from their ceilings.

"Because of their clean lines, they are easily adaptable to any space," says Bioflame's Doug Allen. "As well, some of the units that are inserted into the wall can be framed out with more traditional materials, like mouldings, for example, if the homeowner likes a more built-in and time-honoured look."
