If a hotel or destination can't offer Caribbean temperatures in winter, it often offers money-saving packages instead.
Here are some to tempt you:
Delta Montreal and Delta Centre-Ville in Montreal have a Sweet Deals Package that includes accommodation for two, daily buffet breakfast, an assortment of gifts, credits and certificates, and a 15% discount on the Montreal Museums pass, starting at $159 per night, with a minimum two-night stay. Delta Quebec's Discovery Package includes one-night's accommodation, buffet breakfast, parking and admission to the Civilization Museum of Quebec, starting at $239 per night. Valid until Jan. 29. Packages combining golf and accommodations for as low as $70 US per golfer per night, based on four people, can be had through Feb. 26 in Gulf Shores, a 51-kilometre stretch of Alabama coastline.
Examples include a Buddy Trip at Kiva Dunes, using a two-bedroom golf course condominium with four beds, starting at $73.31; and Couples Golf Getaway, at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Orange Beach, with a hotel room with two queen beds and deluxe continental breakfast, starting at $81.

Two Phoenix resorts, Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak and Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs, have deals for Canadian visitors through March 11.
