An attempted gang hit gone bad is a case of mistaken identity, according to the sister a man involved in the incident.

Nazreen Dean said her brothers Aleem Mohammed, 19, and Amir Mohammed 18, were home when two white males broke into the brothers’ home near Fraser and 53rd and ordered them onto the floor.

Dean claimed the intruders shot Aleem but Amir managed to wrestle the gun away and gave chase.

A body remained in the intersection at 53rd and Fraser Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police have yet to identify the victim.

Dean said Aleem is in hospital and Amir is in police custody.
