Weather woes for commuters

Commuters had long wait times for SkyTrain and then packed in like sardines this morning. (Dharm Makwana)

By Dharm Makwana, 24 HOURS

Old man winter wreaked havoc on commuters across the Lower Mainland Monday morning.

As cars crawled westbound along Lougheed Highway towards Vancouver, SkyTrain riders at Lougheed Station waited about 15 minutes for a train to arrive.

"Things are a little cozy," said Bhimal Patel on his way downtown. "But, it's not much different than any other morning."

Weather forecasts predict more snow through the morning until the clouds break some time this afternoon.

Things should get sunny but expect the temperature to hover around freezing for the day.
