Police ID victims in floatplane crash



Local maternity doctor among six dead in plane crash

Police have identified the six victims who perished in a floatplane crash in B.C.’s Gulf Islands.

According to RCMP, the victims are:

Richard Bruce HASKETT (Age 49) of Huntington Beach, California - American Citizen

Cindy SHAFER (Age 44) of Huntington Beach, California - Canadian Citizen

Kerry Margaret MORRISSEY (Age 41) of Vancouver, BC - Canadian Citizen

Sarah Grace MORRISSEY (Age 6 months) of Vancouver, BC - Canadian Citizen

Catherine WHITE-HOLMAN (Age 55) of Vancouver, BC - Canadian Citizen

Thomas Gordon GLENN (Age 60) of White Rock, BC - Canadian Citizen

The two survivors, the Seair Seaplanes pilot believed to be in his 30s and a female passenger, have not been named.

The cause of the crash, which occurred shortly after take-off around 4:10 p.m. Sunday at Saturna Island, is under investigation by the Transportation Safety Board.
