If you're going to be a cowboy, prepare to get muddy from time to time. On this last day of the High River Guy Weadick Days rodeo last Sunday, the rain was bad enough to cancel the chuckwagon races. But it didn't stop the steer wrestlers from trying to hang onto their animals in the mud. Contestant Ty Erickson didn't seem to mind that his steer got the better of him as he sits up in the mud after a failing bout. High River Times photographer Robert Massey took this shot through a fence, where he got soaked in mud himself every time a horse ran by. "All I can say is rain jackets for your camera are a wonderful invention, because they work for mud too," Massey said.
