Add Alex Burrows to the list of those who were surprised by a Canucks sweep.
"Obviously we didn't expect that at all," said Vancouver's game four hero at a press conference yesterday afternoon. "What it really came down to was that everybody contributed in this locker room and it was the difference in this series."
With the rest of the team off until Friday, the top line took some time to speak with the media back at GM Place.
Daniel Sedin, who led the team with five points in the first round against St. Louis, is looking forward to the next series but doesn't really care who the Canucks play.
"It'll be nice to get home ice advantage but we'll see what happens," he said. "We have a good enough team to beat anyone."
However, Sedin thinks there's still plenty of room for improvement.
"I think offensively we can maybe do a better job," he said. "We didn't score too many goals but it was enough and that's all that matters."
With about nine to 10 days until the next round, Vancouver will have ample opportunities to work on specific areas of their game.
"We're going to use this time to make us better," said coach Alain Vigneault. "I don't see any negatives with this time off."
