"Wazzzup" at the Maynards Block?
The red brick, West 2nd Avenue building is earmarked for restoration as part of an Aquilini Investment Group condominium project.
But a 24 hours' source said it is expected to become the Budweiser Olympic party palace next February.
Neither brewer Anheuser-Busch nor the Aquilini brothers' spokesman denied the Club Bud plan when asked by 24 hours.
"We're not able to provide any information at this time," said a spokesperson for St. Louis-headquartered A-B.
"The Aquilinis aren't commenting on any of their properties," said Norman Stowe.
The building is a short walk from both the Olympic Village Canada Line station and the Southeast False Creek Olympic Village.
The arrangement, however, could be complicated by sponsor politics.
A-B's Olympic supply deal ran dry after Beijing 2008, but it remains a U.S. Olympic Committee sponsor.
Molson Coors and the Aquilinis are VANOC sponsors.
The recession has limited sponsor hospitality activity throughout the city, but that could pick up next week.
Mobile phone sponsor Samsung is marking Tuesday's world Olympic day by unveiling its Vancouver 2010 marketing plans. Hudson's Bay Company is also expected to make an announcement next week.
Its downtown Vancouver store will host the official Olympic superstore on the main floor and the Canadian Olympic team on the sixth.
