Media response to a yet-to-be-published medical study on H1N1 has been "overblown," according to a BC Centre for Disease Control spokesperson.
The BCCDC is one of the agencies authoring the study, which suggests flu shot recipients last year are more susceptible to H1N1.
With the virus still spreading across the globe, the media quickly pounced on the findings in the report.
Despite the attention, BCCDC spokesperson Roy Wadia told 24 hours the study is still being reviewed by other scientists and has not been verified.
