It's hard to imagine a Maxim Magazine model having trouble getting noticed.
But Suzanne Teresa, a top-10 finalist in Maxim's Hometown Hotties contest, finds herself in a unique position of wanting to propel her photography career while gaining international notoriety for being the subject in front of the camera.
"I've already accomplished my dream with Maxim by just getting printed in November and December," Teresa told 24 hours. "So, if I win that's a bonus because I'm in January's issue. But really, I just want people to know that I exist. I'm a photographer and I shoot beauty, glamour and advertising."
The Nanaimo-native steadily rose to the top of more than 10,000 contestants who wanted a one-year gig representing the world's No. 1 men's magazine.
The model, turned photographer, turned model again, is fresh off a trip to Las Vegas for a photo shoot with the nine other finalists.
Feeling a tad more secure than the other ladies, Teresa chose to pose with little more than a hand of strategically placed playing cards and a stunning shade of red lipstick.
Should voters and Maxim execs value Teresa's daring demeanour she could end up on red carpets, at exclusive parties and marquee sporting events such as the Super Bowl for the magazine.
"I've always been in jobs where I've dealt with the public," she said. "Even in our business I've always dealt with customers. I'm not afraid to talk to anyone. I don't get star struck. I'm interested by people."
Apparently, the world is interested in Suzanne.
