Think of it as a dance-off with balls.
Red Bull is once again hosting local qualifying Sunday for its international Street Style competition, which pits some of the best jugglers in soccer against each other in a head-to-head contest to see who can pull off the best tricks and keep the ball in the air.
"Some of these guys are truly talented, they do things you didn't think was possible with a soccer ball," said Kantcho Doskov, who advanced to the national championships in Toronto last year after making it through Vancouver qualifiers.
Doskov says he'll be back for this year's qualifiers - at the Roundhouse community centre on Davie Street and Pacific Boulevard - and the pressure is already on to perform.
"It's a different experience," he said. "You're in the middle of all these people watching you and the pressure is on to entertain and do something cool."
Registration is 11 a.m. and competition starts at 12:30 p.m.
