Talk 1410 employees laid off
Talk 1410 to be replaced with Team 1410, current staff let go
By MATT KIELTYKA, 24 HOURS

Employees at Talk 1410 have been laid off Thursday as the radio station gears up for a re-brand later this month.

Employees learned today that CHUM has decided to turn the all-talk radio station into a sports-only program under the name “Team 1410.”

New programming is already on the air, but the full re-brand is expected to take effect as early as next week.

The new direction is part of a widespread financial restructuring of the four CHUM stations in Vancouver, which also include Team 1040, The Beat 94.5 and 103.5 QM/FM.
