TransLink boss has New York state of mind
By DHARM MAKWANA

TransLink president Tom Prendergast announced yesterday he's leaving TransLink at the end of the month to take over operations of New York's transit authority - the largest transit system in North America.

The outgoing CEO said TransLink is on a sound financial footing after the Council of Mayors approved a $130 million supplement to the transit authority's 2010 budget. TransLink chairman Dale Parker said current CFO Ian Jarvis would be promoted to the position interim president as the organization.
