Granville Room general manager Trevor Kallies wants his patrons to taste the Olympic spirit.
The soft-spoken mixologist who designs drinks, for Donnelly Hospitality Group, created five cocktails using top-shelf spirits inspired by five great moments in Canadian Olympic history.
"I went with a moment and asked how can I tailor a drink to represent that," Kallies said.
For example, the Gold, Silver and Greene, in honour of Nancy Greene's 1968 double medal performance marries, Victoria gin, Barnston Island basil, grapefruit juice and orange-flavour water to give off a green tinge.
"I tried to tailor it in a way so I didn't have to say; 'a hockey gold medal tastes like this'," he said.
The designer drinks, selling for $9, aren't the only feature keeping Kallies hopping as the Olympics arrive in just 86 days.
"This is where everyone is going to be," he said. "We've got a brand new street outside so it's going to be a real hotspot for the Olympics.
