The Edmonton company offering rooms on a cruise ship at an industrial dock for the 2010 Winter Olympics has slashed its rates again.
Newwest Travel spokeswoman Tamara Castellano said the Norwegian Star is "well over half" reserved.
She wouldn't release specifics claiming a security agreement with Norwegian Cruise Lines.
She said the US$100, Internet-only discount through Nov. 30 was intended to piggyback on the flurry of U.S. Thanksgiving sales.
Prices start at US$550 per night with a $1 add-a-friend promotion.
Castellano said a bid for permission to operate the onboard casino sank in October because of technical requirements to link with provincial government servers.
"That was just something we did not have time and/or the budget to facilitate," Castellano said.
