Olympic Resistance Network members were planning to meet Wednesday night after the shocking revelation that an undercover cop drove them to Victoria for a protest against the torch relay.
"We're trying to figure it out, it's quite difficult right now," said Garth Mullins. "I can't tell you a bus company name yet."
Victoria Police chief Jamie Graham said Monday at the 12th Vancouver International Security Conference that a cop was at the wheel of the protesters' bus on Oct. 30.
B.C. Civil Liberties Association executive director David Eby said Graham's comments and the incident were both unsettling.
"Bragging about how effectively you fooled the 'stupid activists' is not a really great way to encourage dialogue between the groups," Eby said. "It's not a great way to encourage the importance of dissent in a democracy."
Eby said those who disagree with government policy shouldn't have to worry that the driver of the bus they're on is an undercover police officer.
"The act is very close to the line," he said.
