The bankrupt Denver parent of VANOC's souvenir seller is being auctioned to the highest bidder.
A Dec. 8 filing with the United States bankruptcy court in Colorado indicates XP Entertainment "is in the process of selling certain of its assets and assigning certain leases and contracts to the highest bidder."
Judge Michael Romero is scheduled to hear the matter on Dec. 17. The company sought protection from creditors on Sept. 30.
XP Events inked a deal earlier this year to operate 60 souvenir stands for VANOC at 2010 Winter Olympics venues.
