BC Hydro tower power fix 0
BC Hydro has restored power to one of two lines shut down after a 500-kilovolt transmission tower was hit by a barge in June and a 230-kilovolt tower collapsed into the Fraser River in July due to erosion.
The company hopes to repair both power lines before higher demand for energy kicks in for the winter.
Power returned to its larger tower Wednesday while the smaller tower remains in the river.
BC Hydro will use a high-tension line to bypass the fallen tower by late fall.
