B.C. First Nations get own health care
B.C.'s aboriginal community will play a greater role in the planning and management of its health services through a new First Nations health governance structure announced Thursday.
In a landmark legal agreement, the B.C. Tripartite Framework Agreement on First Nation Health Governance paves the way for Ottawa to transfer the planning, design, management and delivery of the First Nations health programs to a new First Nations Health Authority over the next two years.
