More than 3,000 meals were served in the Downtown Eastside's Oppenheimer Park this weekend to local residents and community members at HomeGround, a three-day annual event that offers support to DTES residents.

Around 50 Templeton Secondary high school students volunteered to prepare and serve the meals to the needy.
