Residents can now play basketball year round after the Vancouver Park Board decided to leave the hoops up at the two Kitsilano Beach Park courts year-round.

Hoops will be covered daily at sundown until the next morning. About 10 years ago, the Park Board began removing hoops mid-September and reinstalling them in May because of noise complaints.
