A man is in "very serious" condition after being shot at the scene of a fight in Surrey early Thursday.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying a dark coloured sports car spotted fleeing the 10600 block 135A Street.

"Members of Surrey RCMP . attended to the scene and located a male, who is a Lower Mainland resident, with a gun shot wound to his upper body," said Staff Sgt. Murray Hedderson in a statement.
