Premier Christy Clark opened the Safeway Father's Day Run/Walk at Burnaby Lake, on Sunday which raised more than $170,000 to support Prostate Cancer Foundation B.C.

A total of 1,234 runners and 260 volunteers in Metro Vancouver, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Chilliwack participated in the event. Foundation numbers indicate prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death for men.
