Vancouver police issued a public warning to elderly women Wednesday after four separate violent purse snatchings since late April.

In all four cases, women between 74- and 88-years-old were targeted, often being thrown to the ground before the robber escapes.

In one case, the victim had her head slammed into a dumpster. It's unclear if the robberies are connected.
