Ex-RCMP officer receives conditional sentence
A disgraced former B.C. Mountie - guilty of obstruction of justice after killing a man in a suspected drunk-driving crash - won't spend any time in jail.
Benjamin "Monty" Robinson, 42, was handed a one-year conditional sentence Friday that includes one month of house arrest. He was convicted in March in connection to the 2008 fatal crash of motorcyclist Orion Hutchinson.
