B.C. MLAs must post all their expenses with receipts online starting in October, a legislative assembly committee announced Tuesday.

The measure is in response to Auditor General John Doyle's recent legislative assembly audit, which found Victoria had understated the province's deficit in its financial accounting by more than $500 million.

Two people are being brought in to improve financial controls at the legislature. The position of executive financial officer has also been created.
