Bus passengers can literally wake up and smell the coffee at a Burrard and Georgia transit stop as McDonald's has embedded Arabica beans into a perforated bus shelter.

The display, which will be up until Sunday, is promoting a free coffee offer at the hamburger giant's local outlets ending that day.
