PETERBOROUGH - The fate of Ontario kidnapper Stanley Tippett will remain unknown until at least spring and potentially until fall 2011.
Tippett recently parted ways with trial lawyer Michael McLachlan.
His current lawyer Bob Richardson is still awaiting a nearly 7,000-page disclosure package from the Crown, which is attempting to have Tippett declared a dangerous offender.
A three-week dangerous offender hearing was scheduled for early January, but the parties agreed they would not meet that deadline with Richardson just recently joining the case.
The case has been adjourned to Sept. 14.
Tippett was found guilty last December of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old Peterborough, Ont., girl.
