All eyes weren't on bank adviser, Martin Lakos, as he talked about Australia's interest rates. Instead, viewers Down Under were riveted by a colleague in the background who was viewing near-nude model pics.
A television interview involving Australian interest rates got an unexpected dash of spice when a banker in the background was caught checking out model photos on his computer.
As Australia's 7 News quizzed Macquarie's banking adviser, Martin Lakos, about the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision to halt a series of rate increases, a man could be seen in the background ogling photos of a near-naked model, reportedly Victoria's Secret beauty Miranda Kerr.
Unaware he was being filmed, a balding banker behind Lakos looked through several shots while carrying on a conversation with a clueless colleague.
It’s unclear what, if any, punishment the man faces, but Macquarie Bank said it was now investigating the matter.
“Macquarie takes matters such as the unacceptable use of technology extremely seriously," it said in a statement to The Australian newspaper.
"Macquarie has strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from today's live cross on 7 News is being dealt with internally.”
