An Australian mother died Wednesday after she was hit by a bus while holding her 11-month-old baby girl.

The woman's other daughter was on the school bus that killed her, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reports.

Police in Sydney said the woman fell under the bus and sustained fatal injuries.

The baby girl was unharmed, but was taken to hospital for observation, police said.
