Casey Printers failed to earn his first win as a B.C. Lions this season after throwing an overtime interception Saturday in a 33-30 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The new Lions starting quarterback went from hero to goat, completing 19 of 31 passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns, including a highlight reel throw to Michael Bumpus, before the extra frame pick.
Printers tried to find Geroy Simon in the endzone, after the Riders had taken the lead on a field goal earlier in overtime, but Saskatchewan's defensive back James Patrick intercepted the ball for the win.
Simon finished with six receptions for 142 yards, putting him over 1,000 receiving yards on the season for the seventh time in his career.
On defence, Barron Miles intercepted Saskatchewan's Darian Durant twice in the game, running one back for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
With the loss, B.C. remains third in the West, three points behind Calgary and Saskatchewan and two ahead of Edmonton.
Their next game comes Saturday on Halloween when they host the Stampeders at B.C. Place.
