Bernard Scott raced 96 yards with a kickoff return as the surprising Cincinnati Bengals took control of the AFC North Division with an 18-12 victory over the NFL defending champions Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday.
Scott's run was the game's only touchdown in Cincinnati's (7-2) second win over Pittsburgh (6-3) this season.

- Tennessee RB Chris Johnson rumbled for 132 yards on 26 carries and snagged nine balls out of the air for 100 yards as the hometown Titans (3-6) smashed the Buffalo (3-6) Bills 41-17.

- Aging warrior Brett Favre continued his impressive display, passing for a season high 344 yards as the Vikings (8-1) clobbered the Detroit (1-8) Lions 27-10 in Minnesota.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4) edged out the hometown New York (4-5) Jets 24-22.
- The hometown Washington Redskins (3-6) scored 13 points in the fourth to win 27-17 over the Denver Broncos (6-3).
- The visiting Seattle Seahawks (3-6) lost 31-20 to the Arizona Cardinals (6-3) despite receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh's nine receptions for 165 yards.
- The Kansas City Chiefs (2-7) bumped off the Raiders (2-7) by a score of 16-10 in Oakland.
- The visiting Atlanta Falcons (5-4) lost 28-19 to the Carolina Panthers (4-5).
- The hometown Green Bay Packers (5-4) notched 14 points in the fourth en route to a 17-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys (6-3).
- The Chargers (6-3) went atop the AFC West with a 31-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles (5-4) in San Diego.
