Big awards for Lions

By HOSEA CHEUNG

Not only did the Lions come away from Hamilton with a win, they also took home three of the four CFL Player of the Week awards yesterday.

Defensive end Ricky Foley led the way with two titles - defensive and Canadian player - while Casey Printers was named the offensive player of the week for his 360-yard passing performance in the 34-27 win.

The Lions quarterback also ran for a TD, and threw for another to Ian Smart in OT for the victory.

"We went through a lot of ups and downs that game, and we were able to persevere through the struggle," said Printers. "We came out on that which is very impressive in my opinion."

Meanwhile, Foley recorded two sacks, a forced fumble, and six tackles, with five coming in the fourth quarter and overtime.
