The struggling Hamilton Tiger-Cats added some low-cost muscle to the defensive line Monday.

The Ticats (3-7, third in the East Division) acquired import defensive end Brandon Peguese from the B.C. Lions, sending nothing more than future considerations to the west coast.

The 6-foot-1, 250-pounder from Greensboro, N.C., had four defensive tackles, three special teams tackles and one sack in seven games with the Lions this season. He signed with B.C. in mid-June after previous stops with the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL.
