Canucks getting a royal visit
- THE BUZZ
Will it be home sweet home for the Canucks, who dropped both games in a Californian road trip, against the Los Angeles Kings tonight? (7 p.m., Sportsnet HD, Team 1040)
- BRIGHT LIGHTS
Alex Burrows continued his torrid scoring pace, notching his 20th of the season in the Canucks' 4-3 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. Ryan Kesler also had his 20th goal with 4:58 left in the game to tie things up for the Canucks. But the others need to step up if the Canucks want to return to their winning ways.
- SUNDIN FLYING
After just two assists in eight previous games, the Canucks' marquee signing, Mats Sundin, has five points in his last five games, including a morale-boosting game-winning goal against the San Jose Sharks last Saturday.
- WHAT HAPPENED, LU?
After going seven straight games allowing two or less goals in a game, goalie Roberto Luongo has allowed seven in his last two games. Perhaps it's time to give him a quick rest and let backup Jason LaBarbera have a shot against his former team.
- LET'S GET SPECIAL
Forward Jarret Stoll stuck it to the Canucks with two power-play goals in Los Angeles on Monday. This, combined with the Canucks' anemic 0-9 rates on power plays in California, means the boys will have to work on their special teams.
