The Swedish centre surpassed Tony Tanti for the sixth spot on the Canucks all-time scoring list with the assist, his 471st career point.

The Canucks and Oilers split their six matchups last season, each winning three times. Goaltender Roberto Luongo played in just two of the meetings, going 1-1 while allowing seven goals against.

Luongo was pulled Friday as the Canucks lost 5-3 to the Calgary Flames. The team redeemed itself Saturday in a 2-1 home victory over Minnesota, with Luongo turning aside 17 shots while Vancouver directed 39 shots at the Wild's Niklas Backstrom.
