- HOME AND AWAY:
After getting their first road win Wednesday in Chicago, the Canucks return to Vancouver for a three-game home stand. Meanwhile, the Leafs are just starting a five-game road trip, and have been outscored 13-6 in their two away games so far this season.
- COMPARE: To put into perspective the Leaf's lack of offence, Vancouver's defenceman Willie Mitchell has the same point total as Toronto's top scorers.
- BEAR: Steve Bernier will look to continue his two-game goal streak and his consistent offensive production, with six points in the past seven games.
- SPECIAL: After going goalless in two games on the powerplay, the Canucks went two for six against the Blackhawks Wednesday and is now back up to fifth overall (27.5 per cent) in the NHL. Those numbers could grow after tomorrow night's game as Toronto's penalty kill sits last in the league, having allowed 11 goals on 28 opportunities.
- LAST MEETING: It was a storybook ending the last time these two teams met in February. Vancouver came out on top after former Leafs' Mats Sundin scored the winning goal in the shootout. The Canucks also took the first matchup 4-2.
