THE BUZZ: A four-goal third period by the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday at GM Place gave the visitors a 5-4 victory, snapping Vancouver's three game winning streak.

PAINFUL SIGHT: There was a scary moment at the Garage during the second period when Ryan Johnson, who was skating hard on the forecheck, lost his footing and crashed into the boards, shoulder first. The centre was taken off the ice on a stretcher, and sent to the hospital for further observation.

WINNER: Jason Williams finished off a Valtteri Filppula cross-crease pass to break the 4-4 tie. It was the Red Wing's second powerplay goal of the period, this one coming off a Willie Mitchell high-sticking penalty.

EARLY LEAD: It didn't take long for the Canucks to get on the scoreboard, going up 1-0 just 30 seconds into the game when Henrik Sedin scored his fifth of the season before Christian Ehrhoff put the home team up by two under seven minutes later.

NO GOOD: Osgood, who allowed two goals on four shots, only lasted 7:05 before getting pulled in favour of backup Jimmy Howard, who stopped 20 of 22 shots. At the other end of the rink, Roberto Luongo made 37 saves, but only stopped 10 of 14 in the third.

GOAL-FILLED THIRD: The two teams exchanged three goals in a span of 2:14 in the third to even up the game at 3-3 with goals from Niklas Kronwall, Mathieu Schneider, and Pavel Datsyuk. Datsyuk then scored his second of the night at 9:31 to give the Red Wings the lead before Henrik, who also got his second of the night, tallied just 2:32 later on a 5-on-3 to tie it back up.

HELPERS: Kevin Bieksa assisted on three of the Canucks four goals, boosting his season assist total to six.

UP NEXT: Vancouver heads to California Thursday and Friday to play back-to-back road games against Los Angeles and Anaheim.
