- THE BUZZ:
There's a slight chance that the Canucks (10-8) could get a couple of sidelined players back into their lineup tonight when they play the St. Louis Blues (5-6-4) in the third of a five-game road trip.
- BACK IN NET?:
Roberto Luongo, who suffered a hairline fracture in his rib two weeks ago, might be ready to suit up for the Canucks, after reportedly practicing with the team yesterday. His backup Andrew Raycroft has been impressive as a replacement so far, improving his season numbers to four wins and one loss with a .936 save percentage and 1.60 goals against average.
- DAN, JAN, AND STEVE: While the Canucks could get their star goaltender back against the Blues, they'll likely have to wait another game before forward Daniel Sedin returns from his broken foot. The winger did not skate and was receiving treatment yesterday after joining the team on the road trip over the weekend. Meanwhile, Steve Bernier will be back after missing two games with the flu and Jannik Hansen is still probable after being out all season with a broken finger.
- ST. LOSE:
This will be the first meeting between these two teams since last year's Western Conference quarterfinals in which the Canucks swept the Blues. St. Louis is currently on a three-game losing skid and sits 14th in the conference, while the Canucks have won three of the last four and remain in eighth spot.
- NO NET:
The Blues are struggling offensively, with no players at double digits in point, whereas Vancouver has seven players with as many or more points as St. Louis' scoring leader.
