Big test in Motown

By HOSEA CHEUNG

THE BUZZ: The Canucks (10-9) head into Detroit tonight to face a Red Wings team which recently lost 5-1 to Toronto. Vancouver, on the other hand, was soundly defeated by the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, giving them their first back-to-back losses since their 0-3 start to the season.

IN AND OUT: The Canucks will likely see the return of Jannik Hansen tonight, as the Danish winger will take the place of a suspended Darcy Hordichuk, who drew an instigator penalty in the final five minutes of Tuesday's game. Daniel Sedin was set to return, but flew back to Vancouver yesterday for more time off.

LAST MEETING: Vancouver allowed four third-period goals to Detroit two weeks ago in a 5-4 loss at GM Place.
