Gut shot
By Guts McTavish
Lost in amongst all the injury, flu and underachieving nonsense this first quarter exists a couple of notable “finally moments” for this season’s Canucks. Finally, it looks like speedy Mason Raymond’s hands have caught up to his topfive NHL wheels. For the first time in his career he’s actually demanding the puck and when he has it he’s getting rewarded for taking it to the greasy areas. Finally, it appears goalie Cory Schneider’s AHL magic has transferred over to the NHL game. For the first time this season, Schneider was told he’d start in Dallas last week and the mental prep time that goes with that seemed to do the trick. It was easily his best goaltending performance as a Canuck, stopping 45 shots in a losing effort. Finally. Follow the Kilt! twitter.com/gutsmctavish24 |
