- THE BUZZ:
The break is over for the Canucks, with three games in four nights starting tonight when they host a young L.A. Kings team at GM Place.
- AT HOME:
With an 8-3 record at home this season, Vancouver will look to improve those numbers against a tired Kings team that played last night in Edmonton. While the dangerous Anze Kopitar, who sits top-three overall in points, will be in action, Ryan Smyth won't be in the lineup due to an upperbody injury that has him on the IR.
- GREY CUP BREAK:
Full of Rider-nation pride, Darcy Hordichuk had some choice words yesterday for teammate Alex Burrows, an Alouettes fan: "We've tried to make a bet. It goes from a large amount of money to let's just go for breakfast at Urban Fare, so it doesn't show much confidence in a team like Montreal when [Burrows] want to put an $8 breakfast on the line so it's not even worth my time to bet something like that." - LAST MEETING:
Mikael Samuelsson scored once in regulation and again in the shootout to lead Vancouver to a 2-1 win in L.A. late in October.
