IN THE DUB
The Giants (27-16-1-2) will have to wait over two weeks before they can showcase their recently-acquired players to home fans as Vancouver is currently mired in a 10-game road trip.
With Tomas Vincour, Brett Breitkreuz, and Brent Henke coming over via trade deadline deals Sunday, the new look G-men will play back-to-back games in Prince George this Friday and Saturday.
Those will be games five and six in the first of two 10-game stretches away from the Pacific Coliseum - the second one goes from February 15 to March 7.
Vancouver will also look to rebound from two straight losses, 5-2 to Calgary and 5-1 to Medicine Hat, over the weekend, which keeps them second in the West with 57 points.
They are six points behind the league-leading Tri-City Americans.
The Chilliwack Bruins (20-20-1-5), on the other hand, are also on a two-game losing skid but will return home Friday to host the Everett Silvertips.
A win moves them closer to the fourth-place 'Tips, who are seven points ahead of the sixth-ranked Bruins.
Note: Vancouver's Craig Cunningham, who is on a six-game point streak, leads the league in scoring (68) while Canucks prospect and blueliner Kevin Connauton leads all defencemen with 20 goals and 50 points. Brendan Gallagher, who has 54 points, rounds out the three Giants in the WHL top-20 in scoring. For the Bruins, Ryan Howse leads in goals with 34, four ahead of Regina's Jordan Eberle.
