Canucks impress in comeback

By HOSEA CHEUNG

- THE BUZZ:

A come back win in Boston Saturday has the Canucks at .500 on this road trip as they get two days off before playing in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

- FAR AWAY:

After Washington's Alex Ovechkin recorded four points - including a hat trick - in the Capitals win over the Penguins Sunday, Henrik Sedin now trails Ovie by eight points for the NHL scoring title. Ovechkin has 86 points, Henrik has 78, and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby has 74 after scoring twice in the game, moving him to third overall. The Canucks centre has been held pointless in four of the last five games and 14 of the last 15 periods.

- SECONDARY:

With the top line struggling, several players have stepped up. Pavol Demitra is on a three-game point streak, while Mason Raymond has seven points in the last six games. Goaltender Roberto Luongo, who finally got to rest last Thursday against the Senators, made 41 saves against the Bruins for his 30th win of the season - the fifth straight campaign where he's reached that plateau.

- MORE FROM UNITS:

Vancouver's special teams squad has been floundering. Despite the fifth overall powerplay ranking, the Canucks' man advantage unit is four for the last 31 opportunities -including an 0-for-5 effort in Boston-, while the penalty kill has allowed at least one powerplay goal in five of the last six games.
